The story behind

When you dive into No me platiques más, you encounter a piece that breathes the essence of the bolero, but with a sonic treatment that makes it unique. The song's duration, 3:32, is perfect for letting yourself be carried away by its atmosphere. What's interesting about this track is how it fits into the album Romance, a project that sought to revive the genre. The original music is by Vicente Garrido, a key name in bolero composition.

This album, Romance, released on November 19, 1991, marked a turning point. Originally, a collaboration with Juan Carlos Calderón was considered, but it couldn't materialize. Facing pressure to meet recording deadlines, and at the suggestion of his manager, Luis Miguel decided to focus the project on the bolero. For co-production, the renowned Mexican composer Armando Manzanero joined. The recording took place in August 1991 at Ocean Way Recording, in Hollywood, California, with Bebu Silvetti as arranger. The album compiles twelve boleros, whose original recordings date from between 1944 and 1986.
