Nada a Ver

The story behind

Engenheiros do Hawaii released Nada A Ver in 1986, a song that became part of the band's repertoire. The song lasts three and a half minutes, and from the beginning it shows the style of the guys from São Paulo. It is a ballad with a smooth rhythm, where the guitar accompanies a voice that feels close, as if it were speaking directly to the ear. The lyrics talk about distances, about having nothing to do with it, but in the middle of that there is a sense of connection. The song was recorded in a studio of the time, and since then it has become one of the band's classics. Today it remains a reference in Brazilian rock, for how it feels, not for what it says.
