The story behind
Mi piaci perché, according to DoReSol
The song *Mi piaci perché* is part of *Bollicine*, the sixth studio album by Vasco Rossi, which was released on April 14, 1983. This album has been recognized by both the public and critics, even being considered by *Rolling Stone Italia* magazine in 2012 as the best Italian album of all time.
Vasco Rossi was born in 1952 in Zocca, a town in the Apennines between Modena and Bologna. His father, a truck driver, named him in honor of a fellow prisoner in Germany. Vasco's mother, Novella, dedicated herself to the home while his father traveled throughout Italy. From a young age, Vasco showed a rebellious personality and a strong desire to express himself creatively. In 1972, he became interested in experimental theater and enrolled in Pedagogy at the University of Bologna. However, he soon realized that his true calling was music, a path he had already explored by winning a singing contest in 1965. He then decided to abandon his studies to follow his instinct, immersing himself in the world of "free radios," an experience that would mark his career. In 1975, he founded a free radio with friends, which positioned him from the outset as a relevant figure. The music of *Mi piaci perché* has a duration of 3 minutes and 21 seconds.
