The story behind
Me cuesta creer, according to DoReSol
I find it hard to believe is one of those songs that sticks in your memory without warning. It's not the longest or the loudest on the album, but it has a hook that repeats like an echo: that guitar that enters with a playful air and that bass that holds it up without drawing attention. The lyrics sound like a half-hearted confession, as if the singer knows what they're saying won't convince anyone, but they say it anyway. There's something in the mix of that light melody with the lyrics that hurts without you knowing why. They recorded it in March 2002 in Santiago de Chile, with Mariano Pavéz at the helm of the console, except for Clara, which was recorded in Montevideo a month later with Álvaro Reyes.
The album was presented that October at the Teatro de Verano, and from there the band never stopped touring the country. Emiliano Brancciari took most of the songwriting credits, though Mateo Moreno contributed two tracks. It lasted four minutes and thirty-three seconds, just enough time for the song to keep spinning in your head.
