The story behind

Mañana de carnaval, according to DoReSol

The interpretation of Mañana de carnaval by Luis Miguel immerses us in a carefully constructed sonic universe, part of his album Romances. This discographic work, released on August 12, 1997, is distinguished by being the third in a series dedicated to revisiting Latin songs from a specific period, spanning from 1940 to 1978. On this occasion, Luis Miguel surrounded himself with talents such as arranger Bebu Silvetti and Armando Manzanero, who not only contributed new compositions but also supervised the direction of all projects in the Romance saga. The result is a collection that includes twelve versions of already known songs and two new creations by Manzanero and Silvetti.

The recording of Romances took place in early 1997 at Ocean Way studios, located in Los Angeles, California. The album has achieved considerable commercial success, selling over 4.5 million copies and obtaining platinum certifications in various Latin American countries, as well as in the United States and Spain. To promote this project, Luis Miguel embarked on tours through the United States, Latin America, and Spain. The track Mañana de carnaval, with a duration of 3:24, is part of this proposal that explores bolero and romantic ballad, genres that Luis Miguel has masterfully navigated throughout his career.
