The story behind

Laura non c'è (remix), according to DoReSol

When Filippo Neviani, known as Nek, was preparing to release his fourth studio album in 1996, something important was changing in his career. This album, titled Lei, gli amici e tutto il resto, marked his move to a larger record label and was the first to have a specific version for the Spanish-speaking market. It was a moment of renewal, where Nek felt he was starting a musical "second life." For this project, he worked with a completely new team, including producer David Sabiu and arranger Massimo Varini, who also co-wrote the songs. The songwriting for the tracks involved the collaboration of Antonello De Sanctis. The duration of the remixed version of Laura non c'è is 3 minutes and 59 seconds.

Nek's beginnings date back to the late 1980s, when he was part of a group called White Lady. His solo career began in 1992 with a self-titled album from which the single "Amami" was released. His first appearance at the San Remo Festival was in 1993, presenting "In te," a song that generated controversy due to its theme. In that same edition, Mietta performed "Figli di chi," a composition of hers. Nek also had a notable participation in Cantagiro, where he won the award for most popular artist given by TV Stelle magazine. In 1994, he received recognition as the best young Italian singer, shared with Giorgia Trovato, and released his album Calore Umano, which was his last work with the Fonit Cetra record label. In 1997, he returned to the San Remo Festival with "Laura non c'è," a song that many consider his masterpiece.
