In La gloria eres tú, Luis Miguel delves into a repertoire of Latin songs spanning from the 1940s to 1978. This track, included in the album Romances, is one of the twelve covers that make up the record, alongside two new compositions. The recording took place in early 1997 at Ocean Way Studios, located in Los Angeles, California. The production of this work featured the collaboration of arranger Bebu Silvetti, and the general direction of Armando Manzanero, who had previously worked with Luis Miguel on his earlier projects in the Romance series. The album Romances, released on August 12, 1997, became a commercial success, selling over 4.5 million copies and earning platinum certifications in various Latin American countries, as well as in the United States and Spain. To promote this project, Luis Miguel embarked on a tour that took him through the United States, Latin America, and Spain.
