The Paralamas do Sucesso recorded on O Passo do Lui a sound that took them away from their first album, Cinema Mudo. The drums and bass gained space, and the songs started to sound fuller. Among these tracks, Fui eu stands out for its catchy rhythm, a song that made them a key part of Brazilian rock in the 80s.The album was released in 1984, but it was at Rock in Rio in 1985 where the band solidified their place. With two memorable performances, Herbert Vianna, Bi Ribeiro and João Barone proved that their music was no longer just an experiment. Fui eu became one of the songs that best represented that change, with a duration of 3 minutes and 52 seconds that was neither too long nor too short.
