The story behind

The song Diana, part of the album Tango 4, was recorded between January and September 1991. The recording process took place at Overtone Studios, with Pedro Aznar in charge of sound engineering. For some tracks, such as Vampiro, Sólo Dios, and Diana itself, Peter Baleani collaborated on technical assistance. This album, a collaboration between Charly García and Pedro Aznar, features original compositions by the duo, like the track Tu amor, and also includes covers of classics. For example, they adapted Break It All by Los Shakers, which became Rompan todo with the participation of Sandro, and God Only Knows by the Beach Boys, renamed Sólo Dios.

The context of the recording of Tango 4 is situated in a particular moment for Charly García. In 1991, at 39 years old, the musician went through a period of hospitalization due to addiction problems, although his commitment to the musical project continued. Carlos Alberto García Moreno, known as Charly García, born in Buenos Aires in 1951, is a central figure in Argentine and South American music. His career includes the founding of emblematic bands like Sui Géneris and Serú Girán, in addition to an extensive solo career. With a considerable discography, both solo and in collaborations, his influence on rock is undeniable. Throughout his career, he has received accolades such as the Grammy for Musical Excellence and the Konex Award on several occasions.
