The story behind

When you dive into Tu amor, you encounter a piece that, while bearing the signature of Charly García, is nourished by a very particular collaboration. This track, included in the album Tango 4, was conceived alongside Pedro Aznar, who not only contributed to the composition but also handled much of the recording at his Overtone Studios. What's interesting is how this duo explored different sounds, and in Tu amor, that search is perceived, an invitation to feel the music in a more intimate way. The song's duration, just about 3 and a half minutes, concentrates an intensity that invites repeated listening.

The recording of Tango 4, which spanned from January to September 1991, was a process where Aznar made his studio available, with the assistance of Peter Baleani on some tracks. Tu amor stands out within this work, but the album itself is a melting pot of influences. You can find original compositions by García and Aznar, like this track, but also bold covers. For example, they included a reinterpretation of "Rompan todo" by Los Shakers, with the participation of Sandro, and of "Sólo Dios sabe" by the Beach Boys. Furthermore, the album was enriched by the contributions of figures like Alfredo Alcón and Jorge Luz, who provided unique readings and sonic elements.
