The story behind

The song *Deviazioni* from the album Bollicine, released in 1983, has a duration of 4:39 and is notable for its particular genesis. The music was conceived by Tullio Ferro, who also sketched out an initial lyric in English during the summer of 1982. Originally, these ideas were intended for a concert in Cagliari which, unfortunately, was canceled due to bad weather. It was in that context of cancellation, while Vasco Rossi was in his dressing room, that the song began to take shape.

The album Bollicine, which includes Deviazioni, is considered one of the most valued works by both the public and critics within Vasco Rossi's discography. In fact, in 2012, the magazine Rolling Stone Italia ranked it first on its list of the 100 best Italian albums. Vasco Rossi, born in 1952 in Zocca, a town in the Apennines between Modena and Bologna, has always been characterized by his rebellious spirit and his desire for creative expression, moving away from established conventions. His path to music led him to explore experimental theater in 1972, but he soon felt the need to follow his instinct, which prompted him to get involved in "radio libere" (free radio) starting in 1975, an experience that proved crucial for his artistic career.
