The story behind
Crossfire, according to DoReSol
The song Crossfire by Scorpions was recorded at Dierks Studios in Stommeln, Germany. The recording engineering was carried out by Gerd Rautenbach, while the mixing and production were handled by Dieter Dierks. This piece has a duration of 4 minutes and 36 seconds.
The track is part of the band's ninth studio album, titled Love at First Sting, which was released in February 1984 in the United States and in March of the same year in the United Kingdom. Although Crossfire is not one of the most well-known singles from that album, the album itself was a great success for Scorpions in the United States, reaching the sixth position on the Billboard 200 chart in 1984. The initial sessions for this album took place in Stockholm, at Polar Studios, during the summer of 1983, with the participation of Jimmy Bain on bass and Bobby Rondinelli on drums, who had previously been members of Rainbow. However, the material recorded in those early stages was not included in the final album.
