Con suavidad

The song Con suavidad, part of the album Corazones by Los Prisioneros, has an interesting story behind its creation. Jorge González conceived it during his time working with the performance collective Las Cleopatras, a creative period that also gave rise to Corazones rojos. When performing it live in 2012, González described it as the pinnacle of the album Corazones, highlighting its romantic, intense, and often explicit character.

The album Corazones, released in May 1990, marked a sonic shift for Los Prisioneros. Leaving behind the new wave and guitar-driven rock of their previous works, they delved into a more polished synth-pop and dance-pop sound, with influences from house and electro-disco. This change occurred while recording at Entourage Studios and Mad Dog Studios in Los Angeles, this being the group's first project recorded outside of Chile. The production was handled by Argentine musician Gustavo Santaolalla, with Aníbal Kerpel as associate producer. The main composition fell to Jorge González, who took a more leading creative role after the departure of Claudio Narea. The duration of Con suavidad is 5:05.
