Caravanas

The story behind

Juana Molina recorded Caravanas in her home studio in General Pacheco, towards the end of 2020 and beginning of 2025. The song is part of the album Doga, her eighth record, released in November 2025 by Sonamos, the label she herself founded in 2021. It has been eight years since she released original material, and this is her first collaboration with a producer since her first album, Rara, from 1996. The idea came up in 2019, when she organized a series of concerts called Improviset together with Odín Schwartz, a keyboardist with whom she worked a lot. During those performances, they recorded over sixty hours of improvisation with analog synthesizers and sequencers. The song Caravanas is four minutes and seven seconds long, and on Last.fm it has over nine thousand listeners.
