The story behind
The song *As Soon as the Good Times Roll* has a duration of 5 minutes and 3 seconds. It was recorded at Dierks Studios in Stommeln, Germany, with Gerd Rautenbach as recording engineer and the mixing handled by Dieter Dierks, who also served as producer. This track is part of the Scorpions' ninth studio album, titled Love at First Sting, released in February 1984 in the United States by Mercury Records and in March 1984 in the United Kingdom by Harvest Records. The album itself is described with a sound that spans heavy metal, hard rock, and glam metal.
Although the final version of the album Love at First Sting did not include material from the initial 1983 sessions at Polar Studios in Stockholm, where Jimmy Bain on bass and Bobby Rondinelli on drums participated, the record became the Scorpions' most successful in the United States. It reached number 6 on the Billboard 200 chart in 1984. The band, originally from Hanover, Germany, was formed in 1965 and has had an extensive career, releasing numerous albums and establishing itself as one of the most recognized rock bands in their country.
