Amanecer

The story behind

The melody of Amanecer, with its evocative atmosphere, transports us to a moment of introspection. This piece, which is part of the album Romances, draws on the deep sensitivity of Armando Manzanero, who not only composed the music but also directed all the albums in Luis Miguel's Romance series. The recording of this work took place in early 1997 at Ocean Way studios, located in Los Angeles, California. The album Romances is Luis Miguel's twelfth studio album, and it is distinguished by being the third in a series dedicated to covers of Latin songs spanning the period between 1940 and 1978. In this project, Bebu Silvetti collaborated as arranger, contributing his vision to the twelve covers and two original compositions that make up the album. Amanecer, with a duration of 3 minutes and 31 seconds, is inscribed in the rich tradition of bolero and romantic ballad that has characterized a large part of Luis Miguel Gallego Basteri's career. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on April 19, 1970, Luis Miguel established himself as a prominent figure in Latin American music. The album Romances, released on August 12, 1997, proved to be a commercial success, selling over 4.5 million copies and achieving platinum certifications in several countries in Latin America, the United States, and Spain. To promote this project, Luis Miguel embarked on tours through the United States, Latin America, and Spain, bringing these interpretations to diverse audiences.
