The story behind
Yo no quiero volverme tan loco, according to DoReSol
This song was born in the air of Serú Girán's last concerts, when Charly García and David Lebón performed it live with a faster rhythm and a different energy. The slow version we know today came in 1982, during the Yendo de la cama al living sessions, where Charly asked León Gieco to add his vocal touch. The curious detail is that, due to contract issues, Gieco appeared in the credits as Ricardo Gómez, a pseudonym that hid his participation in the album.
The recording took place in August 1982 at Estudios ION and Estudios Panda, with Amílcar Gilabert in charge of the mix. The song, which lasts 5 minutes and 11 seconds, was the first track on side B of the album and the only single released, though in Spain it was released under the WEA Music label. Beyond its original version, there is an alternative recording with parts in Portuguese circulating online, an extra nod in the history of this track.
