The story behind

The energy of *Wild in the Streets* is felt from the first note, a piece that captures that feeling of unleashed freedom. It was part of that album that marked a before and after for Bon Jovi, released in August 1986. Recorded at Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver, the work sessions extended between January and July of that same year. The sound they were looking for was built with the help of Bruce Fairbairn as producer, while Tim Crich and Bob Rock were in charge of recording engineering and mixing. This album, in fact, became the first in the glam metal genre to place three songs in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, a significant achievement.

To bring this record to life, Bon Jovi embarked on an extensive tour that began in July 1986 and lasted until October 1987. The band, originally from New Jersey and formed in 1983, with Jon Bon Jovi at the helm, always defined themselves more as rock and roll than as a glam metal band, despite the image that characterized the eighties. The lineup that shaped this sound included David Bryan on keyboards and Tico Torres on drums, along with Hugh McDonald on bass and Phil X on guitar. *Wild in the Streets* has a duration of 3 minutes and 55 seconds, a window into that unbridled attitude.
