The story behind

As we delve into Pink Flamingo, we encounter a track that, while not as well-known as other band anthems, is part of a crucial moment for Bon Jovi. The album it belongs to, Slippery When Wet, was a turning point. It was recorded between January and July 1986 at Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver, under the production of Bruce Fairbairn. This record became a phenomenon, with three of its songs reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, something unprecedented for a glam metal album at that time. The promotional tour, the Slippery When Wet Tour, extended from July 1986 to October 1987, consolidating the band's reach.

Bon Jovi, originally from New Jersey and formed in 1983 with Jon Bon Jovi at the helm, was active in the eighties rock scene. While they were associated with glam metal due to their aesthetics, the band always defined themselves more as rock and roll. The album Slippery When Wet, released in August 1986, was an immediate success, spending eight weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 in the United States. This record marked a period of great visibility for the band, with songs that defined their sound and their projection in the market, both in North America under Mercury Records and internationally with Vertigo Records.
