The story behind
The song *Vuelve* was conceived at a key moment for Shakira, marking her first firm step into the international market. Recorded in 1994, it was part of the album Pies descalzos, a work that was initially released in Colombia and later expanded to other regions with the help of Sony Music Entertainment and Columbia Records. For this project, Shakira collaborated closely with producer Luis Fernando Ochoa, with whom she had already worked on «¿Dónde estás corazón?», a song that propelled her to fame. The production of Pies descalzos involved a team of recording engineers such as Sonido Azulado, Luly Deya, José Martínez, Camillo Montilla, Freddi Niño, and Victor Di Persia, while the mixing was handled by Juan Antonio Castillo.
This album, which contains eleven songs, debuted in the Hispanic American market in 1996 and stood out for tracks like «Estoy aquí», «¿Dónde estás corazón?», and «Antología». The duration of *Vuelve* is 3 minutes and 57 seconds, a space where the musical proposal that would consolidate Shakira unfolds. The artist, born in Barranquilla, Colombia, in 1977, continued her artistic path by working again with Luis Fernando Ochoa on later productions, and her international success was consolidated in 2001 with Laundry Service.
