Una storia importante, according to DoReSol
When Eros Ramazzotti returned to the Sanremo Festival in 1985, he did so with a song that, although it did not win first place (it came in sixth), became a resounding commercial success. The track, Una storia importante, was co-written by Ramazzotti himself along with Piero Cassano and Adelio Cogliati, and featured arrangements by Celso Valli. This single, released in February of that year by the DDD label, sold over a million copies, with particular success in France, where it surpassed 625,000 units. The B-side of this release included the song Respiro nel blu.
The composition of Una storia importante was conceived at a key moment for Eros Ramazzotti, who had already won the new talent competition the previous year. This piece, which is part of the album Cuori agitati, proved to be the most successful of those competing in Sanremo 1985. The production was handled by Piero Cassano, and the total duration of the song is 4 minutes and 11 seconds. Eros Ramazzotti, born in Rome in 1963, has established himself as a prominent figure in Italian pop music and has extended his reach to Europe and Latin America, selling millions of records throughout his career.
