The story behind
The song "_Sol de verano_" by Chichi Peralta has a duration of 5:27 and is notable for its rich fusion of genres. On "_De Vuelta Al Barrio_", his second album released in 2000, Peralta explored bold sonic combinations, mixing son with jazz, merengue with guaguancó, and pop with African influences, as well as fusing bachata with Brazilian and Arabic rhythms. For this production, he collaborated with the London Symphony Orchestra and the choirs of _Luz Africa_, with recording sessions taking place in Paris, France.
The career of Chichi Peralta, born in Santo Domingo on July 9, 1966, is remarkable. From a very young age, at 4 years old, he showed his inclination for music by building his first instrument. During the 80s and 90s, he worked as a professional percussionist with groups such as Fernando Echavarría y la Familia André, _Trilogía_, and for 8 years, with Juan Luis Guerra's _4.40_. In 1997, he released his first album, _Pa' Otro La'o_, also taking on roles as producer and arranger. One of the main vocalists from that period was Jandy Feliz, who later, in 1999, embarked on his solo career after leaving _Chichí Peralta y Son Familia_. The album _Más que suficiente_, released in 2005, received nominations for the Grammy and the Lo Nuestro award in 2006, and became one of the best-selling Latin albums in Japan, according to the specialized chain Disk Union. In 2007, Chichí Peralta was named "goodwill ambassador" of the Dom. Rep.
