Ultraje a Rigor released Se Você Sabia in 1985, within their album Nós Vamos Invadir Sua Praia. The song is part of an album that marked the debut of the Brazilian band. It was recorded in the Nas Nuvens studio, where the producer Pena Schmidt explained that the title was a provocation towards bands from São Paulo, in response to the arrival of a new generation of musicians from that city who were gaining popularity in Rio de Janeiro. The lyrics of Se Você Sabia reflect that tension and that energy that characterized the band at that time. The song lasts three minutes and thirty-nine seconds, and today is still listened to by more than five thousand people on Last.fm.
