The story behind
The song Para mí solito, by Aterciopelados, immerses us in an intimate and reflective atmosphere, with a duration of 3 minutes and 25 seconds. This track is part of Con el corazón en la mano, the Colombian band's first studio album, released in 1993. The recording and mixing of this album took place at Studio Master Producciones, located in Bogotá, during the spring of that same year. The production was under the supervision of Juan Antonio Castillo, while the mixing work was handled by Richard Blair.
The debut album by Aterciopelados, Con el corazón en la mano, laid the groundwork for what would become one of the most recognized rock groups in Latin America. On this record, a strong punk influence is perceived in several of its compositions, including songs that quickly became the band's first hits locally, such as Mujer gala, La cuchilla, and Sortilegio. This album achieved sales of nearly 50,000 copies, a significant commercial achievement for any Colombian artist at that time.
