The recording of Con el Corazón en la Mano took place in Bogotá, specifically at Studio Master Producciones, during the spring of 1993. The production of this debut work was handled by Juan Antonio Castillo, while the mixing task fell to Richard Blair. This debut album had a notable commercial performance for its time in Colombia, selling over 50,000 copies, which speaks to the early impact of Aterciopelados.
