Eros Luciano Walter Ramazzotti, born in Rome on October 28, 1963, is an artist with a notable presence in the pop music of Italy, Europe, and Latin America. His distinctive nasal voice has become a personal trademark throughout his career. His parents were Rodolfo Ramazzotti and Raffaela Molina. He grew up in the Cinecittà neighborhood, an area linked to film studios, where he even had appearances as an extra in films, participating in Amarcord by Federico Fellini, which won the Oscar for best foreign film in 1973. A move to Australia was close to happening, but the request was denied. His father, a painter by trade, had previously attempted a musical career, recording songs like *Lui è uno* and *Voglio andare sulla luna*. After that attempt, Eros Ramazzotti sought to enter the conservatory, but was not admitted because he could not read sheet music. For his audition, he performed a piece by Francesco De Gregori, specifically *Pezzi di vetro*. He left his school studies at the Margarita Bosco school, the same one that would later host footballers like Alessandro Nesta and Francesco Totti. He began accounting studies, but abandoned them after two years.
