The story behind
The song Nati per vivere, with its duration of 3 minutes and 57 seconds, emerges from a crucial moment in the career of Filippo Neviani, known artistically as Nek. This track is part of Lei, gli amici e tutto il resto, his fourth studio album, released in 1996. The production of this album marked a turning point for the artist, signifying his transition to a larger record label and the beginning of his projection into the Spanish-speaking market, with a specific version for Spain. For Nek, this work represented a musical "second life".
The recording of Lei, gli amici e tutto il resto was carried out with a renewed team, including a new producer and a group of musicians with whom Nek would collaborate for the next five years. In the composition of the songs, Nek worked alongside Massimo Varini, who was also responsible for the arrangements and artistic production along with David Sabiu. The authorship of the lyrics fell to Antonello De Sanctis, this being the third album on which they collaborated. The context of this album, released in 1996, is set after his beginnings in the late 1980s with the group White Lady, his solo debut album in 1992 with Nek, his participation in the San Remo Festival in 1993 with In te, and his stint at Cantagiro where he won the award for most popular artist. It also includes his recognition as the best young Italian singer in 1994, shared with Giorgia Trovato, and the release of Calore Umano that same year, his last work with the Fonit Cetra record label.
