The story behind
The song *Mil días* by No Te Va Gustar, with a duration of 3 minutes and 26 seconds, is from the album *El Calor del Pleno Invierno*, released in 2012. This work marked a turning point for the Uruguayan band, being the first without the participation of keyboardist Marcel Curuchet, who passed away that same year. The album's production was handled by Federico Lima and Sebastián Peralta, and it featured the collaboration of renowned musicians such as Fernando Ruiz Díaz, Gabriel Peluffo, Jorge Serrano, and Germán Daffunchio, contributing guest vocals that enriched the sound.
*El Calor del Pleno Invierno* stood out not only for its musical quality but also for its commercial impact. It was No Te Va Gustar's first album to reach the number one spot on the popularity charts in both Uruguay and Argentina. The record was nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards in its 14th edition and received three nominations at the 2013 Graffiti Awards. The band, formed in Montevideo in 1994, has evolved over the years, incorporating influences from Argentine rock, Uruguayan popular music, and groups like Oasis and The Beatles, expanding its sound beyond initial rock towards genres such as reggae, candombe, ska, and murga.
