The story behind

Luz de luna, according to DoReSol

The song Luz de luna, with its duration of 2:55, transports us to a particular sonic universe within the discography of Luis Miguel. This track is part of México en la piel, an album that marked a milestone as his first deep foray into the mariachi genre. The recording of this work took place in July 2004 at Ocean Way Recording studios, located in Hollywood, California. To bring these interpretations to life, Luis Miguel had the collaboration of the folk ensemble Vargas de Tecalitlán, and the musical direction was led by Armando Manzanero, while Miguel himself took on the production.

México en la piel was officially released on November 9, 2004, under the Warner Music Latina label, featuring thirteen versions of mariachi songs. Later, on September 5, 2005, a special edition, México en la Piel: Edición Diamante, was launched, enriching the content with two additional songs and a DVD that included five music videos. Singles such as "El Viajero", "Que Seas Feliz", "Sabes una Cosa", and "Échame a Mí la Culpa" were derived from this album, while "Mi Ciudad" was added to the promotion from the special edition. Luis Miguel Gallego Basteri, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on April 19, 1970, is a consolidated figure in the music of Latin America, known for his versatility in interpreting genres ranging from pop and funk to bolero and mariachi.
