The story behind

El viajero, according to DoReSol

When you dive into El Viajero, you encounter a piece that stands out within the universe of Luis Miguel. This song, with a duration of 3 minutes and 37 seconds, is one of the four that were released from the album México en la Piel, originally released in November 2004. What's interesting about this work is that it marked Luis Miguel's first foray into the mariachi genre, accompanied by the folk ensemble Vargas de Tecalitlán. The musical direction was handled by Armando Manzanero, and the production was by Luis Miguel himself. The recording took place in July 2004 at Ocean Way Recording studios, located in Hollywood, California.

The album México en la Piel, which includes El Viajero, was presented as a collection of thirteen mariachi-style covers. Later, in September 2005, a special edition, México en la Piel: Edición Diamante, was released, adding two unreleased tracks and a DVD with music videos. In addition to El Viajero, other singles were released from the original album, such as Que Seas Feliz, Sabes una Cosa, and Échame a Mí la Culpa. Luis Miguel Gallego Basteri, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in April 1970, is an established figure in Latin American music, known for his versatility in interpreting various genres, from pop to mariachi.
