The story behind
The song *Limón con sal* by Chichi Peralta has a duration of 4 minutes and 55 seconds. The artist, born in Santo Domingo, began his musical journey at a very young age, building his first instrument at the age of four. Throughout the 80s and 90s, Chichi Peralta worked as a percussionist in renowned groups, including that of Juan Luis Guerra, where he remained for eight years.
His foray as a solo artist and producer came in 1997 with the international release of his first album. Later, in 2000, he released his second album, a production that fused diverse genres such as son with jazz, merengue with guaguancó, pop with African rhythms, and bachata with Brazilian and Arabic influences. For this recording, he collaborated with the London Symphony Orchestra and the "Luz Africa" choirs, and the sessions took place in Paris, France. This album earned him a Latin Grammy. Subsequently, in 2005, he released another album that also received nominations for major awards and stood out as one of the best-selling Latin albums in Japan.
