The story behind

La sin razón, according to DoReSol

La Vela Puerca shaped La sin razón at a time when the Uruguayan quartet was already forging its sound with layers of rock, ska, and that distinctive trumpet air. The song emerged from tight sessions, with the band moving between studios in Buenos Aires, Montevideo, and Atlántida to capture the raw energy that would later be recorded. The track lasts just three minutes and five seconds, yet within that time it encapsulates something that has always defined them: the blend of urgency and melancholy, where the horns sound like an echo that never quite fades.El Impulso, the album that contains it, was recorded over two months between November and December 2006, with Julio Berta at the soundboard.

The process was itinerant: first at Panda Studios in Buenos Aires, then at IFU in Montevideo, and finally at Casa Blanca in Atlántida, before mixing was completed in February of the following year. The mastering was done by Tom Baker in Los Angeles, while Juan Campodónico handled the artistic production. The song was not chosen as a single, but it remained there, as a bridge between Frágil, which did come out in late March 2007, and El Señor, which arrived with its video in early 2008.
