The story behind
La fe perdida, according to DoReSol
In the first album by Aterciopelados, Con el Corazón en la Mano, released in 1993, La fe perdida can be found. This recording, which has a duration of 4 minutes and 9 seconds, emerged from the sessions that took place at Studio Master Producciones, in Bogotá, during the spring of that year. The overall production of the album was handled by Juan Antonio Castillo, while Richard Blair was responsible for the mixing tasks. This work marked the band's discographic debut and laid the foundations for their recognition in the Latin American music scene, showcasing punk influences in several of its compositions.
The album, which was published in vinyl, cassette, and CD formats, managed to sell around 50,000 copies, a considerable figure for a Colombian artist at the time. Within this set of songs, tracks such as Mujer gala, La cuchilla, and Sortilegio stood out, becoming the band's first hits in their home country.
