Eros Ramazzotti · 1997The story behind
L’aurora, according to DoReSol
When Eros Ramazzotti composed L’aurora with Adelio Cogliati and Piero Cassano, he was exploring a sound that would become his personal signature. The piece, lasting 5 minutes and 35 seconds, is a clear example of his distinctive vocal style, that voice with a nasal timbre that has characterized him throughout his career.
Born in Rome in 1963, Eros Ramazzotti grew up in the Cinecittà neighborhood, a place surrounded by film studios. In fact, as a child, he even participated as an extra in some productions, and his appearance in Amarcord, Federico Fellini's film that won an Oscar in 1973, is even mentioned. His father, Rodolfo Ramazzotti, also had musical aspirations, recording a couple of songs, and his mother was named Raffaela Molina. Before dedicating himself entirely to music, Eros studied Accounting for two years, but eventually dropped out.
