The album *Homework*, released in January 1997 in France and in March 1997 in the United States, was the result of Daft Punk's decision to compile the material they had instead of releasing it as individual singles. This record, which was recorded in a home studio, reached the charts in 14 countries, reaching third place in France and eighth in the United Kingdom. Tracks like *Da Funk* and *Around the World* became hits on the US dance charts, demonstrating the strength of their electronic proposal.
