With a duration of 4 minutes and 35 seconds, this piece was built in the home studio that gave its name to their debut album, *Homework*. It was Thomas Bangalter and Guy‐Manuel de Homem‐Christo who, as producers, shaped this sound that was added to a work that was gestated after signing with Virgin in 1996, after having captured the attention of major record labels with their singles on Soma Quality Recordings.
The album *Homework*, released in January 1997 in France and in March 1997 in the United States, was the result of Daft Punk's decision to compile the material they had instead of releasing it as individual singles. This record, which was recorded in a home studio, reached the charts in 14 countries, reaching third place in France and eighth in the United Kingdom. Tracks like *Da Funk* and *Around the World* became hits on the US dance charts, demonstrating the strength of their electronic proposal. The French duo, who were already exploring the synthpop style and were a benchmark for french house, was represented by Pedro Winter (Busy P) between 1996 and 2008.
