Esta noche voy contigo

When Shakira recorded Magia, her first album, she was only thirteen years old and had already been writing songs since she was eight. This album, released on June 24, 1991, under the Sony Music Colombia label, brought together themes born from her experiences, her coastal dreams, and even adventure stories. However, the production and cohesion of the material were not ideal, which, added to registration problems, caused the album to sell barely 1200 copies. Despite this commercially complicated start, Magia contained tracks like Esta Noche Voy Contigo, released as a single on July 16, 1991, in Colombia.

The music video for Esta Noche Voy Contigo takes us to Pereira, filmed at the Zoológico Matecaña and next to the sculpture known as 'El Vigilante'. Although this song did not achieve the impact of the album's two previous singles, it is part of that first record of the artist, who was born in Barranquilla and who, years later, would debut in the Hispanic American record market in 1996 with Pies descalzos, collaborating with Luis Fernando Ochoa.
