The story behind
Ese maldito momento, according to DoReSol
There are moments in music that, without being the most technically complex, achieve a particular impact due to the way they are presented. *Ese maldito momento* by No Te Va Gustar, with its 3:06 duration, is a good example of this. The song is from the album El Calor del Pleno Invierno, a work that saw the light of day on October 18, 2012. This album, the seventh studio work by the Uruguayan band, was produced by Federico Lima and Sebastián Peralta, and featured the participation of renowned guest musicians such as Fernando Ruiz Díaz, Gabriel Peluffo, Jorge Serrano, and Germán Daffunchio.
El Calor del Pleno Invierno marked a milestone for No Te Va Gustar by becoming their first album to reach the top spot on the popularity charts in both Uruguay and Argentina. Furthermore, the album received a nomination at the Latin Grammy Awards and accumulated three mentions at the 2013 Graffiti Awards. This album also stood out for being the first in which the band did not have the presence of keyboardist Marcel Curuchet, following his passing. The band, formed in Montevideo in 1994, has managed to incorporate diverse influences, from popular Uruguayan music to Argentine rock, including genres like reggae and ska, which has allowed them to consolidate their own sound throughout their career.
