Dênis, o quê você quer ser quando crescer?

The song "Dênis, o quê você quer ser quando crescer?" by Ultraje a Rigor, included in their second album Sexo!! from 1987, presents a narrative that addresses corruption and power. The song tells the story of a politician who benefits from both drug trafficking and corruption in general. This theme was so direct that the Federal Censorship prohibited its broadcast on radio. On this same record, bassist Maurício Defendi takes the lead vocals on another track, Prisioneiro, which also explores the life of a political offender. The album Sexo!! was released with a surprise concert at a shopping mall on Avenida Paulista in March 1987, seeking to break the trend of a successful debut album being followed by a less impactful one.

The band Ultraje a Rigor was formed in the early 1980s in São Paulo. Their national recognition came in 1983 with songs like Inútil and Mim Quer Tocar. An important milestone was in 1985 with the album Nós Vamos Invadir sua Praia, which earned them their first gold and platinum records for rock made in Brazil. This work was later recognized as the "best national rock album" by MTV Magazine in December 2008. The initial lineup included Roger (vocals and rhythm guitar), Leonardo Galasso on drums, Sílvio on bass, and Edgard Scandurra on lead guitar. After the adoption of the band's name, Sílvio left the group and was replaced by Maurício Defendi. Currently, Roger is the only member who has remained since the beginning. In 2011, the band participated in the program Agora É Tarde on Rede Bandeirantes, hosted by Danilo Gentili, and more recently they are part of the cast of the program The Noite on SBT, also with Gentili.
