The story behind
Cuando un amor se va, according to DoReSol
When a love leaves, one of the songs that make up Leo Dan's debut album, immerses us in the melancholy of a farewell. The Argentine singer-songwriter captured in this album, released in 1963, a collection of twelve songs from his own pen, with the exception of "Desencadena mi corazón", a version inspired by "Unchain my heart", and "Deci porque no queres", written by Palito Ortega and Dino Ramos. The recording of this work was done with Milo y Su Conjunto, contributing a distinctive sound to the compositions.
This first LP by Leo Dan, originally released in Argentina by CBS and Columbia Argentina, had notable distribution. In Peru, the label Sono Radio presented it under the title *Para ellas*, while in Brazil it was distributed by Gravações Elétricas S.A. and in Colombia by Discos Tropical. From the album, songs like "Celia", "Fanny", "Deci porque no queres", and "Canta el corazón" resonated strongly, marking the beginning of a prolific career.
