Ripe Banana Skins

Ripe Banana Skins began in Asunción, Paraguay, in 2001. It was the result of merging two previous bands: "Toilete Flush" and "Fugu". At first they were called "Blackfly", but when they found their sound, they decided to change their name. The change worked well for them, and they soon became noticeable.

They recorded some demos and got into the circuit playing at festivals and as opening acts for important bands. One of those moments was alongside Flou, a well-known Paraguayan rock group. That opened doors for them to play all over the country, and also in Brazil and Argentina. Their energy was clear, and the audience responded well.

In 2003 they started recording their first album, which was named the same as the band. They released it in 2005 and it quickly climbed the charts.
