About the album

Pa'l mundo, according to DoReSol

The impact of Pa'l mundo was quickly felt. The album managed to reach the top of Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart, demonstrating its strength in the market. One of its most resonant tracks, Rakata, which was originally part of Mas Flow 2, also had a standout performance, topping the same publication's Latin Rhythm Airplay category. The album had several editions; a reissue released in May 2006 included the track "Pam pam", which reached number one on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart. Later, in July 2007, another version titled First Class Delivery appeared.

The sales of Pa'l mundo are an interesting data point to understand its reach. It is estimated to have sold around 1 million copies worldwide. In the United States, according to data from Nielsen Soundscan in 2012, it had moved 676,000 units, positioning itself as one of the best-selling albums in the country over a 25-year period. The Recording Industry Association of America awarded it 4X Platinum and Gold certification. In 2005, the duo embarked on a tour of the United States, including performances in New York, to promote the album. By 2025, 20 years since its release were commemorated, and Rolling Stone recognized it as one of the most significant Latin albums globally.
