Crêuza de

Fabrizio De André released this album in 1984. It was a moment in which his music already had a defined sound, but it wasn't yet what it would become later. The songs have a gentle rhythm, as if they move with the breath. There is a touch of folk and of rock light, but what catches the most attention is the voice, which seems to tell stories with a calmness that never stops surprising.

About the album

Crêuza de mä, according to DoReSol

Each track has an odd name, but that doesn't make them hard to understand. They are stories of people who live in places not on the maps, or who move between the past and the present. The lyrics seem to speak of something that cannot be seen, but that can be felt. The band is not on the album, but the music moves as if it were there, as if each song had its own space.

The songs follow one after another, as if they were part of the same story. Some are slower, others have a faster rhythm, but all have that same feeling of being close to something that cannot be explained. It is an album that is not listened to once, but is left inside, as if it were part of something bigger.
