The song *Yo sé que volverás* is taken from the album *Segundo romance*, a collection of Latin ballads that revisits themes from different eras, spanning from 1934 to 1993. This album, released in 1994, is the continuation of a previous project that also explored this repertoire. For the recording, the Record Plant studios in Los Angeles, California, were chosen in the middle of that year. Participating in the production were Juan Carlos Calderón, Kiko Cibrián, and Armando Manzanero, who had already collaborated on the previous album. The mixing was handled by Craig Brock and Paul McKenna.
