Somos novios

The song Somos novios, in the version performed by Luis Miguel, immerses us in the romantic atmosphere of the bolero, a genre he has explored deeply. This theme, originally created by Armando Manzanero in 1968, has been a musical canvas for many artists. Luis Miguel's particular interpretation is found on his album Segundo romance, released in 1994. This record, conceived as a continuation of his successful Romance from 1991, was dedicated to reviving Latin ballads from different eras, spanning a period from 1934 to 1993.

The recording of Segundo romance took place in mid-1994 at the Record Plant studios, located in Los Angeles, California. For this project, Luis Miguel collaborated with producers such as Juan Carlos Calderón, Kiko Cibrián, and Armando Manzanero himself, who had already participated in the production of Romance. The duration of the piece is 3:11, just enough time to let its essence be felt. The mixing was handled by Craig Brock and Paul McKenna. The complete album, which includes Somos novios, was promoted with a tour that traveled through the United States and Latin America, consolidating his presence in the music market.
