The story behind
Travelin’ Band, according to DoReSol
The energy of *Travelin’ Band* seems taken directly from a live recording, with that constant and direct pulse that invites you to move. It's one of those songs that, with barely two minutes of duration, transports you to another place. What's interesting is that, despite its characteristic sound, the band Creedence Clearwater Revival explored a variety of styles on the album to which it belongs, Cosmo's Factory. This album, released in 1970, was a great success, reaching the top of the charts in several countries and demonstrating the group's versatility.
Cosmo's Factory was CCR's fifth album in a short period, consolidating their international fame. John Fogerty himself was in charge of the arrangements and production, imprinting his personal touch on each track. This album, which included six singles that reached the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970, was so influential that in 1990 it received a 4x platinum certification. Even in 2020, Rolling Stone recognized it by including it on its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
