The story behind
Ramble Tamble, according to DoReSol
When you dive into *Ramble Tamble* by Creedence Clearwater Revival, you encounter a piece that stands out from the ordinary. The first thing that catches your attention is its structure, which shifts between different energies. It starts and ends with a rockabilly vibe, but in the middle unfolds a psychedelic section that lasts about four minutes. This blend of styles, along with the rhythm changes, gives it a very unique dynamic. The man himself, John Fogerty, who wrote the song, revealed it emerged from "many things," including parts of an earlier version of *Commotion*.
John Fogerty recounted in his autobiography, *Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music*, that the idea for *Ramble Tamble* came to him suddenly one night while he was lying in bed. He felt the melody, the guitar, the entire atmosphere of the song, without knowing exactly what it was about. It was like a gift, a clear vision of the sound he wanted to achieve. The song was recorded by Creedence Clearwater Revival and released as the first track on the album *Cosmo's Factory* in 1970. The producer and composer was John Fogerty himself, who also handled the arrangements. The album, released by Fantasy label, became a major success, spending nine weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 and being certified platinum.
