The story behind

Todo lo demás, according to DoReSol

In the construction of Todo lo demás, Andrés Calamaro weaves a piece that, with its 2:51 duration, fits into the universe of the album Alta suciedad. This work, released in September 1997, marked a milestone as his first album of previously unreleased songs composed entirely by him, following his time with Los Rodríguez. The production was handled by Joe Blaney, who, along with Anglo-Saxon musicians in the United States, shaped a sound that would resonate strongly. In fact, Alta suciedad would become one of the best-selling albums in Argentine rock, surpassing 700,000 copies and being recognized by publications like Rolling Stone.

Calamaro's musical genesis dates back to his childhood, receiving his first instrument, a bandoneon, at the age of eight, and composing his first song just two years later. His path led him to the electric guitar and the piano, the latter learned from Osvaldo Calo. His first steps in professional recording were in Uruguay, as a keyboardist for the group Raíces, recommended by Sergio Makaroff. Throughout his career, he experimented with various formations, from the Chorizo Colorado Blues Band with Augusto Gringui Herrera, to projects exploring different styles, and even collaborations as a session musician for artists like Los Hermanos Makaroff and Julián Petrina. His time in bands like The Morgan and Stress, where he shared space with figures like Héctor Zeta Bosio and Gustavo Cerati, laid the groundwork for future musical evolutions.
