The story behind

She’s a Rebel, according to DoReSol

The song *She’s a Rebel* by Green Day is a track that encapsulates the energy and attitude of a defiant figure. With a duration of 2:00 minutes, its direct sound invites action, conveying a sense of uncompromised rebellion.

This piece was recorded as part of the album American Idiot, a project that saw the light of day in 2004. The band, made up of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool, worked on this record in 880 Studios in Oakland and Ocean Way Recording in Hollywood, both located in California, during 2003 and 2004. The album, conceived as a "punk rock opera," tells the story of a disillusioned young man in an era marked by significant events such as September 11th and the Iraq War. The production of American Idiot was handled by Rob Cavallo along with the band, and featured the collaboration of several recording engineers such as Joe Brown, Greg Burns, Chris Dugan, Jimmy Hoyson, Doug McKean, Reto Peter, and Brian Vibberts. The final mix was done by Dmitar Krnjaic and Chris Lord‐Alge. Green Day, originally from Berkeley, California, began their career in 1986 under the name Sweet Children, later adopting their current name in 1989.
