The story behind
Señor Disc-Jockey, according to DoReSol
For many, Señor Disc-Jockey is one of those songs that invite you to move as soon as it plays. It has an energy that grabs you from the first chord, and it's easy to understand why it became such a recognized hit by Enanitos Verdes. What's interesting is that, despite its catchy rhythm, the story behind its creation and the recording of the album Igual que ayer, where it's included, reveals a particular moment in the band's trajectory.
This album, released in January 1992, marked the return of Enanitos Verdes after a period in which Marciano Cantero explored his path as a solo artist. For this stage, keyboardist Eduardo Lalanne joined, who even shared the album cover with Cantero, Staiti, and Piccolo. Additionally, Andrés Calamaro played a key role as producer, contributing backing vocals and participating instrumentally in each of the songs. The duration of Señor Disc-Jockey is 3 minutes and 55 seconds.
