The story behind
Seminare, according to DoReSol
When Charly García and David Lebón met in Búzios, Brazil, before Serú Girán took shape, the idea for *Seminare* was born. What we hear today as a key piece of the band's repertoire, in its early days had a different name: "La calle de la sensación" (The street of sensation). García, with that creative spark that characterizes him, had already sketched out the melody in high school, inspired by an opera. However, to give it that unique and personal touch, together with Lebón they created their own language, and thus, as happened with *Eiti Leda*, the title mutated to *Seminare*, adapting to that particular sonority they were looking for.
This song, which saw the light as a single in 1978 under the Sazam Records label, became a benchmark. Its melody, which unfolds in G major, has resonated in countless concerts by Serú Girán, and its presence extended to later albums such as *No llores por mí, Argentina* from 1982 and *Yo no quiero volverme tan loco* in 2000, demonstrating its longevity. The composition, signed by Charly García and with the voice of David Lebón, stood as a milestone, being recognized as one of the most outstanding pieces of Argentine rock and chosen as the best song of that same year.
